Boca Raton is the city where I grew up. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone try to move there, even if you’re old and retired. Because it will make you even older and more retired.

It’s a place to visit if you want to go shopping and go to the beach. But honestly, I don’t know why anyone would even want to go shopping here, since Town Center Mall has the same (upscale) chains that every other large-ish city has in America.

There are fewer independent stores and restaurants every time I go home. Sometime I’ll make a list of places to go if you do find yourself here. But I would find another, more interesting place to visit if you are considering Boca!
